The third day of the Disc Golf World Championships once again featured some incredible scores. Aaron Gossage shot an impressive round of 11-under-par, climbing into the lead card ahead of the weekend and the tournament’s climax.
The race at the top of the MPO division is extremely tight, just like in the FPO division. Ezra Aderhold, who threw a phenomenal round yesterday to reach -26, couldn’t quite repeat the performance today, but still narrowly held onto first place with a 4-under round.
Niklas Anttila (-25), who started the day in third place, delivered another excellent performance. On Friday, Anttila carded eight birdies without a single bogey on his scorecard.
Anttila caught up to Aderhold toward the end of the round, but couldn’t manage to score any additional birdies on the final holes, and will head into the fourth day of the tournament trailing by just one stroke.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the world’s best will compete in Nokia. The lead card will consist of the aforementioned players along with the world number one, Gannon Buhr (-24).
All scores are available on the PDGA Live platform.
