The second day of the Disc Golf World Championships was completed late Thursday evening despite a long weather-delay. The second round in Tampere featured some impressive scores, including a new course record.
Thursday’s standout performer was Ezra Aderhold, who played an incredible round at The Monster course, finishing with a score of -14. Aderhold shattered the previous course record of -9, held by Gannon Buhr. His round ranks among the best in the history of the Disc Golf World Championships. Aderhold (-22) leads the tournament after two days.
Finnish crowd favourite Niklas Anttila also had an excellent day. Anttila shot a -10 at The Monster, which also broke the old course record. He moved up to third place overall in the tournament.
Sullivan Tipton, who led after the first day, is now in second place at -18. The lead card is completed by Anttila and Buhr, who are tied for third at -17.
The top players in the MPO division will compete again tomorrow in Tampere.
