Ohn Scoggins climbed to the top of the leaderboard in the FPO division at the Disc Golf World Championships after the second day of competition. After finishing the opening round in sixth place, Scoggins shot a -5 on Tampere’s “the Monster” course and now leads the tournament by two strokes.
Right behind Scoggins (-8) are three Finnish players, seemingly unfazed by the pressure of playing at home. Just 15 years old, Iida Lehtomäki (-6) holds second place, with Henna Blomroos (-5) and Silva Saarinen (-4) rounding out Friday’s lead card.
Lehtomäki wasn’t the only young player to shine on Thursday. Norway’s 17-year-old Ida Emilie Nesse matched Scoggins for the best round of the day. Nesse (E) improved her standing by nearly thirty spots and is now tied for sixth place.
The FPO lead card tees off again in Tampere on Friday.
