PDGA Pro Worlds 2025 to Host a Record Breaking Number of Countries

The registration for the Disc Golf World Championships has been open for just over two weeks. In the first phase, top players from each country had the opportunity to register for the World Championships.

Already, players from over 44 different nationalities have signed up—setting a new record for any PDGA competition.

Phil Diloné, PDGA Director of Competition, comments: “We at the PDGA—both stateside and in Europe—are beyond excited to see the global growth of disc golf reflected in this year’s Pro Worlds in Finland. With nearly 45 countries already represented and counting, this championship is shaping up to be a truly historic event. Working alongside Jussi Meresmaa and the incredible HOST Team, we are committed to delivering a World Championship that will set new records, establish a lasting legacy, and raise the bar for the sport. With what is likely to be an unprecedented level of fan attendance, this will be a milestone moment for the sport, the players, the PDGA as a global organization, and the country of Finland—a moment to reflect on and be proud of for years to come.”

The second phase of registration for the Disc Golf World Championships opened on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. In this phase, registration is available to players rated over 1020 in the Open division and over 930 in the Women’s division.
